Happy Halloween! - Tivoli

This was one of the special highlights during my recent trip to Copenhagen, each year the world famous Tivoli is incredibly decorated for Halloween. The park opened in 1843 and is the second oldest amusement park in the world. For two weeks during October Tivoli is filled with thousands of pumpkins and lanterns, it really is such an amazing sight, the Danes certainly know how to celebrate Halloween...

Fabulous Finds

Having just returned from Copenhagen with lots of inspiring images, I thought I would share some of my fabulous finds with all of you design lovers.
Scandinavian design emerged during the 1950s in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. It is a design movement characterized by simple designs, minimalism and functionality. So many leading designers have emerged from this part of the world. Fritz Hansen, Hans Wegner, Finn Juhl, Arne Jacobsen, Louis Poulsen, the list is endless...
All of the images below were taken inside two of the most amazing homestores in Copenhagen, Hay House and Illum Bollighus.

Copenhagen - The Happiest Place In The World - Part 1

I am so excited about re-visiting one of worlds most uber-stylish cities. This week I will be travelling to Copenhagen for four days with my family. This city is a unique, eclectic mix of Scandinavian style which I love, Michelin-starred restaurants, the coolest bars, quirky vintage shops, museums and so much more. I have put together a brief guide, some of the best places to visit for all you design lovers.
For the second year running, Denmark has been crowned the worlds happiest nation. Its position at the top of a list dominated by Northern European countries suggests that there's something about the high-latitude attitude that promotes happiness in it's inhabitants.
I will be posting many photos of the trip on my return, so keep a look out...
