Celebrate The Diamond Jubilee With Style
I am sure all of the British nation are looking forward to an extended four day Bank Holiday of parties and fun to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee. Online company 'Rocket St George' never cease to amaze with their original, contemporary and eclectic products. Here are a few of my favourite limited edition commemorative finds to remember the special day by.
Limited edition Queen Elizabeth II
cushion designed by Bianca Hall.
The hand printed image on the
cushion was taken from a photograph
following her coronation in 1953.

African Juju hats....
I am always on the look out for unique objects to use as decorative display, this beautiful circle of African feathers has to be one of my favourites.
The Juju hat also known as a Bamileke headdress is a traditional Cameroonian ceremonial hat associated with royalty, senior politicians and dignitaries. The feathers are sewn onto a raffia fibre base and are available in various colours. Place one as a focal point above a fireplace, against a bare wall either neutral or a contrasting colour to add warmth and texture. For more of a dramatic effect group together to create truly original wall art.
I am fascinated with the texture and beauty of these feather hats...

Such a colourful world......
I have just returned from a much needed week holiday with my partner in Fethiye, Turkey. The weather, unlike the UK climate we are experiencing at present was amazing.
I was blown away by the intense colour of this Bougainvillaea which is one of my favourite tropical plants and the vibrant wild red poppies which are in abundance in Turkey at this time of the year.
Back to work now feeling relaxed and cherishing some lovely memories, although I am already missing the sun.....
